Reseeding

Recent research in teagasc Moorepark has shown old permanent pasture produces an average 3-5 t DM/ha less than newly reseeded pastures. Ten grazing rotations were achieved in newly reseeded sward compared to the old grass with only six grazings. This will also lead to increased nitrogen efficiency throughout the growing season.
